Applicability of the Scheme:
 The Revised Scheme of  revalidation shall come  into effect  from 1st
January, 2013 and shall be applicable to CPT1 , Intermediate (IPC) Course2
and Final3  students.
Common Proficiency Course (CPC) students:
 Initial registration for Common Proficiency Course (CPC) is valid for 3 years.

Exams-Important-DateApplications for admission to Common Proficiency Test is required to be made in the relevant prescribed form as contained in the Information Brochure, which may be obtained from the Additional Secretary (Examinations), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002 on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs.500/- towards examination fee and Rs. 500/- towards cost of application form and Information brochure) per application form. CA CPT : About the Course and Eligibility

caCommon Proficiency Course is an entry level course for Chartered Accountancy Course. It
comprises of four subjects i.e., Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative
Aptitude. Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two
